It is up to us, the dog lovers of the world – indeed it is up to all humanity – to reach out and help these abandoned creatures.

Animal lovers and animal shelters all over North America are doing what they can. These resources, traditionally, have a hard time to make ends meet at the best of times, so what to do?

PetFinder.com, is dedicated to the care, well-being and protection of abandoned animals, and to bringing animals and families together. Petfinder, one of the oldest and largest online pets and animal rescue communities, is very involved in this tragedy.
