Community Networking

Coming Soon: Details of how you can obtain a Profile Page and participate in our online live 7 Minute Networking Events.

We'll also be introducing a way for you to meet and communicate with the people that you want to, whether it be to:

  • build business relationships
  • promote yourself to potential employers
  • land a contract as a freelancer
  • make new friendships
  • interact with others in local community groups
  • find that someone special.

What is Community Networking ?

Community Networking is an innovative way to meet the people that you want to meet, whether for work or play.

You simply create a profile with some of the key information about yourself, and then using the power of the Internet and Co-OpWorld's community search engine, people are able to either browse or search your profile.

Once you have created your free account, you too can search for people.

You can browse locally or look for a friend on the other side of the world who shares your Interests within our Special Interest Communities such as Dogs.

Why do we call it Community Networking ?

Community Networking goes further than the Social and Business Networking sites that have been so successful over the past two years on the Internet.

It enables you to not only look for friends, soulmates or potential business associates based on keywords, but you can also find people within Local Community Groups such as Schools, Churches, Sports Clubs and Non Profit Organizations.

It's a very powerful way to build friendships locally by finding out more about people in your community.

You'll be able to put a face to a name, and discover common interests. Who knows, if you're a keen Bonsai Gardener, there may be someone you are already acquainted with who shares this interest.

It's a terrific 'ice-breaker' to forming local friendships.

So let your Local Community Group know about this new tool today, so they can let the Community know. It's a great way to build stronger friendships at a local community level.

Co-OpWorld's Community Networking is another way to 'connect' with the people you have met on the bulletin board forums in Online Communities.

What is 7 Minute Networking ?

Once your profile page is created, you can come to our Live Virtual Networking Events.

All you need is a microphone, speakers and an Internet connection and we'll give you an opportunity to grab the microphone and tell us a little bit more about yourself or a business you are involved with.

It's an excellent way to find people to barter your products and services with.

You have 7 minutes on our 'Virtual Stage' in our Seminar Rooms. We can even record your presentation for you with our VoIP Web Conferencing software and add it to our 'Networking Libraries'.

We have libraries for each Local Community and each Special Interest Community such as Dogs, Arts N Crafts or Business Opportunities.

Don't worry if you normally get stage fright. At Co-OpWorld, you're in the comfort and safety of your own home and we're building a community of really friendly people from around the world.

Your Privacy is Protected, You Control who sees what

The really COOL part about the Co-OpWorld Networking Tool is that YOU have total control of each element of data in your profile. We have FOUR privacy levels. With each element of data, whether it be your name, photo, email address or favourite movies, you determine whether that data is seen by:

  1. The General Public
  2. Friends
  3. Close Friends
  4. Closest friends

Your friends won't know how you have classified them, they will just see the profile that you want them to see.

This system also acts as the way we put you in touch with these 'friends'.

You can hide your Email, Instant Message ID, VoIP ID or Telephone Number from the public but make these available to your different levels of 'friends' when they login to their Co-OpWorld accounts.

They can then make contact and YOU GET CONNECTED.

You can even use two versions of your email. We recommend that you get a free account at Yahoo or Google to start receiving your Co-OpWorld contact communications from new 'friends'.

You can ALSO add AUDIO to your profile. This is the next generation of Dating and Networking Tool and it is one of the many benefits of becoming a Community Supporter for only $25 a year. This is an optional extra.

The basic version of the Co-OpWorld Profile Page, without the Audio is provided at NO CHARGE. It is just one of the great benefits of joining the Co-OpWorld Community.

Spread the Word and Build Your Network

By building your network of friends (people who choose to select you as someone they know or would like to get to know), you start earning Co-OpPoints.

Co-OpPoints have no monetary value (in fact they're priceless :-) ), but in the future they will result in countless additional benefits to you both in and outside of Co-OpWorld.

Your Co-OpPoints balance :

  • Will determine how far up the search results your profile and classified ads are seen
  • Assist your 'online' trust reputation. The more friends and points you accrue, the more likely it is that people will choose to network with you. It's rather like the eBay Buyer reputation system
  • Will result in additional bonuses as we grow the Co-OpWorld network and our community's profitability.

Please Note: We do not plan to go live with this service until March or April 2006
